✨ Early Life & Education (1911–1933)
Born on 18 June 1911, Kamala Sohonie showed early brilliance in academics. She completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry and Physics from Bombay University with distinction.

✨ Struggle at IISc (1933)
In 1933, she applied to the Indian Institute of Science but was rejected by C.V. Raman due to gender bias. After persistent efforts, she was admitted on a trial basis—becoming the first woman to enter IISc.

✨ Research Excellence (1936–1939)
She later moved to Cambridge University (1936) and completed her PhD in Biochemistry (1939), becoming the first Indian woman to achieve this milestone.

✨ Scientific Contributions (1940s–1950s)
Her research focused on proteins in pulses, milk, and Neera (palm extract). She proved Neera is rich in Vitamin C, making it valuable for nutrition.

✨ Legacy & Impact (1998)
